Campbus / Corriere della Sera - video and podcast workshops

Campbus is a project run by Corriere della Sera in Italian high schools, for which Mirmica has curated 26 intensive weeks of workshops on video and podcast creation

Campbus is a project by LogIn - Corriere della Sera, conceived and curated by Federico Cella and Michela Rovelli, dedicated to bringing digital teaching and information awareness to Italian public high schools

Since the project's inception, Mirmica has curated intensive video creation workshops, which were joined in 2021 by workshops dedicated to podcast production. Both workshops involved each group in an intensive, collaborative, week-long work process based on active learning principles. Together with the facilitators, participants experimented with and mastered technical and aesthetic tools, conceived and developed a narrative idea, and shot video and/or audio recordings of their work.

In the first editions, the workshops were an extraordinary opportunity to work in person with students during the difficult, and in some ways heroic, years of the COVID-19 pandemic. The videos and podcasts recounted the participants’ perspectives on school during the pandemic, with its fears and difficulties, but also its beauty and profound insights. Then, they accompanied the desired and complex transition to a new/old normality, exploring topics such as school, the future, the environment, and the pursuit of joy.

In subsequent years, the workshops continued to specify a thematic background for the workshops, first reflecting on the changes that had taken place compared to previous years (Turning Points), then experimenting imaginatively and technically on the theme of AI (Tales of Artificial Intelligence) and finally, on the basis of the emotional education brought to the project by the Giulia Cecchettin Foundation, on the ability to express, reflect on, and recount interpersonal relationships and the multiple sensations, emotions, and thoughts that run through them.

In total, from 2020 to 2025, the project has run 26 weeks of intensive workshops in the cities of Milan, Florence, Naples, Bari, Rome, Ravenna, Bergamo, Genoa, Catania, Verona, and in particular at the IIS G. Galilei - R. Luxemburg (Milan), Liceo L. Cremona (Milan), Liceo A. Parini (Milan), ITT - LSA E. Molinari (Milan), Liceo Linguistico A. Manzoni (Milan), IIS G.L. Lagrange (Milan), Liceo A.
